Boom introduced process updates to its API-launched initiatives, conversational tracking, and shared inbox. Initiatives triggered via the API now automatically enroll participants and commence sending rather than remaining in draft status. Conversation nodes now provide visibility into wait statuses and projected completion times. Finally, the shared inbox 'Done' view has been updated to remove conversations not assigned to the active user.
Boom updated its journey analytics tool to support multiple success metrics for a single journey. Users can assign specific names and aggregation methods—including count, sum, average, or max—to each metric. Attribution now begins from the initial outbound message to improve accuracy in calculating replies across WhatsApp and email, and users may pull value metrics from external records, such as order totals. Additionally, the platform now allows filtering by journey version to enable performance comparisons over time.
Boom introduced several functional updates to its Sidekick composer and Data View components. Users can now export conversation data (including transcripts and attachments) directly from Data View. The Sidekick now supports drag-and-drop imagery or PDFs for message composition and includes a real-time WhatsApp message preview for templates. Additional updates include configurable free-text inactivity timeouts for conversation nodes and direct navigation to the Conversations view from the initiative sidebar.
Boom has launched staging and production environment support for journeys. Users can now configure environment-specific values using variables, and HTTP Request nodes now authenticate using secrets tied to the selected environment. This functionality allows developers to test and deploy journeys without duplicating nodes or manually editing configurations between environments.
Boom has launched a Journey Analytics dashboard to provide end-to-end performance monitoring for marketing campaigns. The dashboard includes visual funnels for reach and reply rates, as well as KPI trackers for message delivery performance. Users may assign custom success metrics to define business outcomes, such as sales or bookings, and view granular success rates and generated value. The update also integrates real-time reading and reply metrics directly into the platform's visual journey map.
