# SOTA2

> SOTA2 helps people find and compare AI solutions by the task they need to accomplish. For business buyers, tasks can be explored within a specific industry.

SOTA2 organizes AI products around concrete, verb-led tasks such as book appointments, answer phone calls, draft documents, and monitor compliance. A task combined with an industry defines a business market: for example, Draft Documents in Healthcare & Life Sciences. The site also covers solutions for consumers and AI agents.

Business buyers, including CFOs, COOs, and senior executives, face an increasing number of AI solutions and often search with a specific task in mind. Technical research benchmarks use specialist terms and scores that can be difficult for nontechnical buyers to understand. Their question is simpler: which AI product is best for the task they need to complete? SOTA2 compares products for a defined task and industry to help them build a relevant shortlist.

The ranking process has four steps: collect public evidence from official company websites and other sources; review company-provided private product evidence when available; check direct task and industry fit; and rank the relevant products. Ranked comparisons use AI evidence review and a fixed 100-point rubric covering task fit, adoption evidence, product evidence, pricing and access, and market fit. Some markets show verified product matches without numbered positions when there are too few candidates for a fair comparison.

Scores describe the available evidence, not hands-on performance testing or guaranteed business outcomes. Missing evidence is unknown, not proof of poor quality. Vendor-reported claims and public adoption proxies should be interpreted as such. Use the current ranking page for positions, pricing, evidence, and methodology; these can change as more information becomes available. Company profiles describe companies, while product profiles describe individual offerings.
