A client-stream disconnect alone does not kill a sandbox or its running processes. Reattach to the existing running command with commands.connect(pid), or terminal session with pty.connect(pid). Default pause saves filesystem and memory, preserving running processes and variables; filesystem-only pause discards memory and reboots on resume. Paused sandboxes are retained indefinitely. Continuous runtime is capped at 1 hour on Hobby and 24 hours on Pro; pause/resume resets the limit. E2B provides isolated Linux microVMs for AI agents to execute code and run computer-use workloads, with networking, storage, observability and lifecycle controls. Hobby has no base subscription but running compute is billable; its USD100 credit is one-time. Usage is billed per second. BYOC is an Enterprise feature, not a Pro feature.
