NASFM and Verisk collaborate to standardize fire safety data
The National Association of State Fire Marshals (NASFM) and Verisk have entered a collaboration to standardize the documentation and recognition of fire protection systems. The initiative integrates standardized inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) data into fire safety grading and insurer risk assessments, including Verisk’s ISO Public Protection Classification. The data will be captured via the i-Trax platform, operated by Aztek Fire Safety, to improve the accuracy of community and property-level risk evaluations.

Davies launches property claims carbon tracking solution powered by Verisk
Davies has integrated the Verisk Property Claims Carbon Calculator into its UK and Ireland property claims operations. This tool measures and manages the carbon impact of claims by utilizing claim-specific data, such as material use and contractor activity, to replace high-level estimates. The emissions model is independently assured by the Carbon Trust Assurance and allows insurers to track emissions performance across their supply chains to support ESG and sustainability objectives.
