Dimassi’s Mediterranean Buffet has expanded its partnership with Square as it scales its operations in Texas and California. The restaurant chain, which currently operates 24 locations, has deepened its adoption of the Square platform by integrating Square Marketing and additional food and beverage management capabilities. The brand continues to use Square for its point-of-sale and payment processing while maintaining existing ecosystem integrations with third-party delivery services like DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub, as well as accounting software via QuickBooks Online.
Square released several updates to its software platform, including granular auto-gratuity controls for pre-discount calculation and conditional rules, per-location delivery courier selection for food sellers via DoorDash or Nash, and enhanced inventory and kitchen management features. Additional updates include table merging for restaurant floor plans, nested modifier sets for complex menu items, vendor payments via Square Credit Card, and refined ticket layout controls for printers. These features are designed to improve operational flexibility for restaurants and retail sellers.
Honolulu Cookie Company is expanding its existing partnership with Square to scale its high-volume retail operations. The company utilizes Square for Retail and Square Register across its 14 locations in Hawaii, Nevada, and Guam. As part of its growth strategy, including a new flagship store in Las Vegas, the brand uses Square's integrated loyalty and customer directory services to manage consumer relationships. The business further leverages Square’s partner ecosystem, including an integration with Yellow Dog Inventory, to enhance cross-location stock management.
Square introduced new inventory and operational features, including custom adjustment categories for stock management, allowing sellers to track specific causes for stock loss. Restaurants can now reserve tables on a floor plan by guest count before orders are placed, and sellers can schedule automatic, recurring inventory count resets for limited-quantity items. Additionally, UI labeling for item visibility on Square Online has been clarified to improve catalog management usability.
Square rolled out several improvements to its POS and financial products. Key updates include an increase in cash back for Square Credit Card holders to 1.5%, an automated sales tax folder within Square Savings, and new POS auditory cues for failed payments. Sellers gain more control over fulfillment workflows, including persistent visual/audio alerts for new online orders from third-party marketplaces and bulk price overrides across locations. These updates target improved operational efficiency and financial tracking for multi-location sellers.
