Tyton Partners published a new research report titled “From Promise to Practice: Delivering on K–12 Student Success and the Gaps that Remain,” sponsored by Renaissance. The study, which surveyed over 2,000 educators and administrators, analyzes the gap between district visions for student success and the implementation of those goals in daily practice. The findings highlight the impact of fragmented data systems, the role of departmental silos in procurement, and the potential for integrated technology to improve instructional outcomes.
Renaissance DnA introduced enhancements to streamline assessment and reporting workflows. Educators can now download constructed-response student writing samples as formatted PDFs for easier review and archiving. The Item Bank now supports partial credit scoring for Inline Dropdown and Classification items, allowing for more granular measurement of student understanding. Additionally, a new feature enables the bulk export of specific assessment performance data into raw CSV files, facilitating external data analysis for educators and district administrators.
Renaissance updated its Star Assessments suite for the 2026–2027 school year, including the addition of Star Preschool Numeracy and Star Preschool Whole Child assessments. Other updates include an AI-powered Scoring Assist for Star CBM Reading Passage Oral Reading to reduce grading time, and new field test measures in Star CBM Lectura and Math. The platform also updated learning progressions for several state and provincial standards, and updated Student Growth Percentiles (SGPs) to provide more precise longitudinal progress measurement.
SchoolCity has released a redesigned Teacher Scoring interface for its Item Bank Assessments. The update provides a modernized, more intuitive workspace for educators to review and grade constructed-response and writing-prompt items. The new interface is designed to improve navigation and streamline rubric-based scoring workflows while providing the technical foundation for upcoming AI-assisted evaluation features.
