I could never have gone anywhere I'm homebound so this was just amazing and it was so easy...There's no doubt that I'm stronger that I am able to do more my breathing is terrible and it will I have COPD it will always be terrible so endurance and strength are really really important and I think that's what the program gave me.

Part of my COPD problem was psychological. When I would feel nervous about something or panicked about something, sometimes that would trigger an incident. The class made me more confident about 'I can handle this, you know, I can do this,' and taking away that panic that's associated with trouble breathing is a huge benefit for me. When my pulmonologist suggested it, I thought, 'Okay, how's this possibly going to do me any good?' I was just amazed at how much it did help.

I was in really bad shape. I made a decision to fight back. I wasn't just going to sit back and say, 'Hey, this is what you got, deal with.' I knew COPD, but I didn't know what it was. I just knew I had trouble breathing and I couldn't breathe and I didn't like it. It educated me on that. It educated me on all my medications. I'm getting married on Saturday. You know, we had put it off, we weren't going to do it. Honestly, it wouldn't have happened without Kivo.
