GIMP Shares Midpoint Progress on Google Summer of Code Student Projects
The GIMP development team provided a midpoint progress update for its four Google Summer of Code (GSoC) students. Notable technical progress includes the integration of a new Vibrance filter into GEGL 0.4.68, active development of an online GIMP Extensions platform, enhanced text handling and font organization features, and the recreation of a Sharpen filter for the GEGL color processing engine. Additionally, the team is working on automated UI testing and improvements to the application's About dialog for better troubleshooting.
