Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5 model is now available within GitHub Copilot. The model is optimized for complex coding tasks such as autonomous code changes and regression verification. It features enhanced security safeguards and is accessible to Copilot Pro+, Max, Business, and Enterprise users across multiple environments, including VS Code, GitHub Mobile, and the Copilot CLI. Administrators for Business and Enterprise plans must enable the model in their settings.
GitHub Mobile now allows users to address failing CI checks on pull requests using the Copilot cloud agent. By selecting 'Fix with Copilot' on a failed Actions check, the agent analyzes the failure and attempts to implement a technical fix in a new pull request for user review. This feature is intended for on-the-go maintenance and is available in the latest production builds for iOS and Android.
The Copilot cloud agent for Linear is now generally available, allowing users to assign issues directly to the asynchronous, autonomous agent. When assigned, the agent analyzes content and creates a draft pull request via GitHub Actions, providing progress updates directly within Linear. Users can customize the agent's behavior by selecting specific models, defining custom agents, and specifying target branches for commits and pull requests. The integration is available for Copilot Pro, Pro+, Business, and Enterprise users.
