Bowman Lab Completes Infrastructure Migration and Server Transition
The Bowman Lab at the University of Pennsylvania migrated its physical hardware infrastructure, moving core server operations to AWS while integrating with a new university-wide compute cluster named Betty. This infrastructure transition caused a temporary outage in data storage and CPU work unit availability, which has since been resolved. The laboratory now intends to utilize the expanded computational capacity of the new shared cluster to support Folding@home research initiatives.
