Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5 model is now available within GitHub Copilot. The model is designed for complex, agentic coding tasks requiring multi-step reasoning, tool coordination, and regression verification. It includes enhanced security safeguards for cyber-content. The update is gradually rolling out to users on Copilot Pro+, Max, Business, and Enterprise plans across multiple platforms, including Visual Studio Code, JetBrains, and mobile apps.
