AJA Launches Io Xpand Thunderbolt 5 Expansion Chassis
AJA Video Systems has launched the Io Xpand, a Thunderbolt 5-enabled PCIe expansion chassis designed to bring desktop I/O capabilities, such as those found in KONA and Corvid cards, to Thunderbolt 5-equipped laptops and mini-PCs. The unit provides up to 6000 MB/s of bi-directional PCIe bandwidth and is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux. It is available as a standalone unit for $499 MSRP, with additional bundle options including KONA I/O cards ranging from $1249 to $4455.
