Hiring across borders creates a second set of work after the offer. HR needs case details, employees need document checklists, and attorneys need a complete file. [1]
When that work lives in email threads, everyone has to ask someone else what happens next. [1]
Gale brings employers, employees and independent immigration attorneys into one case workspace. [1]
Its software runs intake, document collection, drafting and tracking. A licensed attorney owns the legal strategy and reviews the petition before filing. [1][2]
One workspace for the case
HR teams start cases and collect documents in Gale. Employees share their details through structured intake, while the team follows status and milestones in a dashboard. [1]
Gale introduced AI-powered document intake that fills application fields, alongside compliance automation after approval. [3]
Technology-assisted drafting prepares the petition work. Independent network attorneys provide legal advice, review each case and sign off before filing. Gale operates the software platform. [1][2]
The platform now supports more than twelve visa categories, spanning temporary work visas and employment-based green cards. [2]
Built by people who had navigated immigration themselves
Rahul Gudise, Haokun Qin and Rishabh Sambare have built projects together since middle school and later studied at the University of Waterloo. Their own experiences with immigration led them to build Gale. [3]
Gudise and Sambare had already worked on automation for Canadian immigration forms. They brought that experience to a platform for U.S. employers, initially focused on H-1B applications and compliance. [3]
Gale was founded in 2024 and joined Y Combinator’s Winter 2025 batch. Gudise is CEO, Qin CPO and Sambare CTO. [3]
Clearer timelines for employers and employees
Northstar: from three months to six weeks
Northstar’s People team moved its H-1B program from a traditional firm to Gale. Head of People Rachel T. reported that work which previously took three months closed in six weeks. [4]
ARC: one view of every case
At ARC, VP Engineering James O. highlighted a different change: team members could see where their cases stood and reach the attorney. [4]
Both experiences reflect the work Gale brings into its platform: collecting a complete file, keeping each petition moving and making progress visible. [1][4]
A published price for the filing
Gale publishes flat fees by case type. Its pricing includes platform access and network-attorney review; government filing fees are billed separately at cost. [5]
Responses to requests for evidence are generally included, with exceptions specified for custom agreements. Companies filing more than ten cases a year can discuss volume pricing. [5]
Employers can book a demonstration to review their caseload, the supported categories and how the workspace fits their team. [1][5]
Beyond the first H-1B
Gale’s original launch framed H-1Bs as the beginning. Its current offering extends across work-visa and employment-based green-card categories, including O-1A, L-1, TN and others. [1][3]
The operating model stays consistent as coverage expands: software manages the information and progress, while independent attorneys provide the legal judgment. [2]
Where Gale ranks
Gale isn't in a numbered ranking yet. Products get a position once enough companies compete on the same task.

The bigger picture
Employers want to know what is missing, who owns the next step and when a case moves forward. Employees need that same clarity. [1]
Gale is building a shared place for that work, from intake to filing. [1][2]
